ADVICE 3683-E-A
(U 338-E)
PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
ENERGY DIVISION
Supplement to Advice 3683-E, AB 57 Bundled Procurement
Plan Compliance Report: Third Quarter 2017

SUBJECT:

PURPOSE
Southern California Edison Company (SCE) hereby submits this advice filing to
supplement in part Advice 3683-E, filed on October 27, 2017. SCE attaches a document
revising certain data in its originally submitted Third Quarter 2017 Quarterly Compliance
Report (QCR).
BACKGROUND
On October 27, 2017, in compliance with Ordering Paragraph (OP) 8 of Decision
(D.)02-10-062, and OP 19 of D.03-12-062, SCE filed Advice 3683-E demonstrating that
SCE’s electric and natural gas procurement activities during the period July 1, 2017
through September 30, 2017, were in conformance with the upfront standards and
criteria set forth in its approved 2014 Assembly Bill (AB) 57 Bundled Procurement Plan.1
In Advice 3683-E, SCE reported in Attachment H the contracts that SCE executed in the
third quarter. Those contracts resulting from a Request for Offers (RFO) and from a
Resource Adequacy (RA) electronic solicitation were reported in the ‘New RFO’ tab.
There were six data cells in the ‘New RFO’ tab that had minor data entry errors (10
instead of 11, 60/65 instead of 65/60, 230 instead of 220, and $91* instead of 91%*).
Accordingly, SCE hereby attaches a revised Attachment H that corrects the data entry in
these cells, as shown in blue font. As a corrective measure for future QCR filings, SCE
is implementing new internal controls including a quality control check of the original data
entry.
