Substitute Sheets for Advice 5444-E

Dear Energy Division Tariff Unit:
An original and 1 copy of substitute sheets are attached for Advice 5444-E,
“January 1, 2019, Electric Residential Rate Changes”.
In PG&E’s Advice Letter 5444-E filed on December 18, 2018, PG&E discovered
inadvertent typographical errors on the subject line of the advice letter. PG&E is
updating the subject line from “January 1, 2019, Electric Residential Rate
Changes “ to “January 1, 2019, Electric Rate Changes.“
In accordance with GO 96-B, Section 7.5.1, the substitute sheets are being
served in the same manner as the original advice letter. For administrative
convenience, a new version of the affected sheets are attached. Please discard
the previously submitted pages.
Please telephone me at (415) 973-2094 should you have any questions
regarding the substitute sheets.

Box 770000 San Francisco, CA 94177 Fax: 415-973-3582 December 18, 2018 Advice 5444-E (Pacific Gas and Electric Company ID U 39 E) Public Utilities Commission of the State of California Subject: January 1, 2019, Electric Rate Changes Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) submits for filing revisions to its electric tariffs to revise to its Transmission Owner (TO) rates and the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) Bond Charge, and to revise electric baseline quantities adopted by Decision No. (D.) 18-08-013, effective January 1, 2019. Attachment 1 contains the revised electric rate schedules while Attachment 2 includes the supporting revenue and average rate summary. Attachment 3 contains revised electric baseline quantities filed in 5429-E and approved by disposition letter issued on December 17, 2018. In addition, PG&E proposes to revise the Energy Commission tax rate effective January 1, 2019. Purpose The purpose of this advice letter is to provide the electric rate changes to be effective January 1, 2019. PG&E proposes four changes in this advice letter: (1) implement interim TO rates; (2) implement the revised DWR Bond Charge pursuant to D. 18-11-040; (3) implement revisions to baseline quantities with revenue neutral adjustments pursuant to D.18-08-013; and (4) implement the revised Energy Commission tax rate. Each change is described below. Background Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Filing of Uncontested Settlement of TO19 and Related Motion for Interim Rates On September 21, 2018, PG&E filed at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) an uncontested Offer of Settlement and Stipulation (Settlement) that would resolve all issues in PG&E’s TO19 transmission rate case in Docket No. ER17-2154-000. Also, as agreed to in the Settlement, on September 24, 2018, PG&E filed a Motion for Interim Rates (Motion) requesting FERC’s expedited consideration of the parties’ request to authorize the implementation of interim rates set out in the settlement.
