Re:

Comments of Southern California Edison Company
on Draft Resolution E-4967

Dear Energy Division Tariff Unit:
In accordance with the instructions in Draft Resolution E-4967 (Draft Resolution) and
Rule 14.5 of the Rules of Practice and Procedure of the California Public Utilities
Commission (Commission or CPUC), Southern California Edison Company (SCE) hereby
submits its comments on the Draft Resolution.
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
Pursuant to Ordering Paragraph (OP) 30 of Decision (D.) 18-05-040, SCE submitted
Advice 3864-E on September 18, 2018. In Advice 3864-E, SCE (1) provided a summary
of the Commission-authorized $356.4 million funding for SCE’s five-year Medium- and
Heavy-Duty Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Program (MDHD Program) and (2) proposed
a new tariff, Schedule CRTP, Charge Ready Transport Program, to set forth the program
requirements for commercial customers to participate in the MDHD Program and to
qualify for rebates.
On December 14, 2018, the Commission issued the Draft Resolution approving SCE’s
Advice 3864-E as submitted. Specifically, the Commission finds that the budget
described in Advice 3864-E meets the requirements established in OP 30 of
D.18-05-040. In addition, the Commission finds that Schedule CRTP complies with the
requirements adopted in OPs 32 and 35 of D.18-05-040.
