Advice 4088-G/5522-E
(Pacific Gas and Electric Company ID U 39 M)

Public Utilities Commission of the State of California
Subject:

Expansion of Baseline Territory Q Pursuant to Decision 18-08-013

Purpose
Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) submits this advice letter to update the
boundaries of Baseline Territory Q pursuant to Decision (D.)18-08-013. In this advice
letter, PG&E has included the revised tariffs as Attachment 1.
Background
PG&E is submitting this advice letter to slightly expand the boundary for Baseline Territory
Q pursuant to D.18-08-013 in Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s 2017 GRC Phase II
proceeding. The Residential Rate Design Settlement Agreement adopted by D.18-08013 included a provision to expand Territory Q to include additional customers from the
San Lorenzo Valley in Santa Cruz County. In advice letter 5444-E for electric rate
changes effective on January 1, 2019, PG&E indicated that this change to the boundary
for Baseline Territory Q would be implemented by May 1, 2019. Accordingly, in this
advice letter PG&E is submitting revised Electric Preliminary Statement Part A,
Description of Service Area and General Requirements, and Gas Preliminary Statement
Part A, Description of Service Area and General Requirements, for the revised boundary
for Territory Q.
Tariff Revisions
The revision in Baseline Territory Q is provided on Sheet 2 in both preliminary statements
and is limited to a change to Santa Cruz County. Specifically, Baseline Territory Q is
expanded to include customers in specific zip code areas who are located at elevations
less than 1,500 feet. Affected customers will be changed to Territory Q beginning with
their first billing cycle on or after April 25.
In addition, PG&E is revising the second footnote (**) on sheet 2 of Gas Preliminary
Statement A, to clarify that PG&E may not currently provide gas service to the baseline
